Assistant Technical Designer
During the last semester of my senior year, I started to work remotely as an Assistant Technical Designer for The Normal Brand based out of St. Louis. Upon graduation, I moved to St. Louis to start working in the role full time. My job includes assisting the technical designer with fit sessions, updated the PLM system, generating tech packs, doing research, as well as many other tasks.

Technical Design and Quality Assurance Intern
In the summer of 2020, I got the experience of working with the technical design team at Colony Brands Inc. in Monroe, WI. As an intern, I got to experience everything that an assistant technical designer would typically do. My duties included running a variety of reports each week, processing photo samples, taking notes during fit sessions, adding fit correction photos and style details into tech packs, navigating FlexPLM to update measurements and add photos, as well as many other tasks.
Costume Seamstress
Throughout college, I had the opportunity to work in the K-State Costume shop where we created the costumes for all mainstage, student-led, performances. I worked with the costume designer and manager throughout the entire process including taking actors' measurements, creating slopers, fitting mockups, altering costumes, caring for costumes, and styling the costumes. I was even given the opportunity to be an undergraduate teaching assistant for the THTRE 383, Fundamentals of Technical Production course, which includes a sewing portion.

Bridal Consultant/Alterations Specialist
My first job within the fashion industry was at Young's Bridal in Salina, KS. I started out doing alterations on prom and wedding dresses but eventually worked my up to an assistant manager role. I gained experience working as a bridal stylist, managing social media accounts for the boutique, and going to Chicago Bridal Market as an assistant buyer.

Volunteer at Kansas City Fashion Week
For three years I was a volunteer at Kansas City Fashion Week. I worked with the designer Jaxson Wyatt the day of his show to prepare models, ensure garments were runway-ready, organize area back of the stage, touch-up model hair and makeup, and ensure garments are returned after the show.
Volunteer at K-State Showcase of Excellence
For 6 years I was a volunteer for Kansas State University's annual Showcase of Excellence. I have volunteered as a model and as a back-of-house volunteer. In 2021 I was in the Showcase Planning Class where we planned the first-ever digital Showcase of Excellence. I gained experience with photoshoots, videography, video editing, and Browzwear for virtual garment rendering.
